How to locate Wisconsin prisons

The Wisconsin DOC operates two types of adult facilites: correctional institutions and correctional centers. The difference is that inmates who are at correctional centers are classified as minimum security and are preparing for an eventual release.

Click to the Division of Adult Institutions page. To get a list of institutions and correctional centers, look to the blue column on the left. The 4th category listed is 'Adult Institutions'. Clicking the 'Institutions' tab and the 'Correctional Centers' tab will bring you the pages where there is a list of the prisons. Clicking on the name of the prison will give you basic information about each facility as well as contact info.
