My Boyfriend Was Released Last October

My boyfriend who is also the father of my children returned from state jail a few months ago. To be exact his release date was October 17, 2009.

So far, so good. He is trying very hard to stay out of trouble. I really think he has learned his lesson. After spending a whole year away from his family, he has no intentions to get locked up ever again. The 12 months he spend in State Jail were extremely hard for him. He had a lot to lose in the outside world. He also knows that if that happens again I won't stand by him again.

In order to stay out of trouble we moved to a whole new state. We moved from Texas all the way to Nebraska. Here, he found meaningful employment which will occupy his time and also bring money into the household. Since he does not have his old buddies around, he hasn't got the temptation to do criminal things that land him in jail or prison.

Now we spend a lot of time together as a family and try to rebuild our life.

To me the best thing was moving away from the old environment and take everything one day at a time.
