Family Help

While they are in prison, none of their old friends know them. The day they get out, the old friends start coming around telling them how much they missed them. They want them to go somewhere with them and they do because they don't know what to do with themselves; they are lost and really scared.

They don't need to be smothered by family but they need family to help them. Don't expect most of them to even know how to look for a job, and it is hard to find a job now without a criminal record.

They have done the time and paid for the crime but to society they are still the same; they are a problem to society. It has always amazed me that God can forgive, but society can't.

The best thing a family member can do is take the time to help them find a job, don't let them worry about the small stuff, having a place to live, a little money in their pocket. Help them become independent is the most you can do.

After all, not every one gets to go to work release and have a little money when they come home and our great prison system doesn't help them when they get out and that $100.00 they get doesn't go far!
