A Way to Help

I have been in and out of prison all my life. I think they need to start a program where the inmate and someone sits down and writes out a plan that the inmate thinks will work for him. Myself, I would like to obtain my CDL. I can't get any help in doing this for one reason or another. This is where staff could help.

Classes forming now

I have been a commercial driver since 2000 and 3 yrs ago upgraded to class A. There are a lot of schools where you can pay and train, there are also jobs who will train you. I'm not current on DOT regulations with regard to your incarceration, I do know that to be DOT certified you have to pass certain drug tests and other qualifications...

Danny,
Many prisons are now putting efforts into just what you are suggesting. It takes a lot of help from the community to go in and get involved. There are a lot of reentry programs springing up around the country.
